The official Miracle League at Roxbury Park t-shirt is hot off the press and ready to be worn! All proceeds from the sales will go towards financing all three phases of the project. Each phase will rollout as soon as it has been financed individually and the prior phase installation has been completed.
Phase 1 of the project will see the Miracle League field installed at Roxbury Park. The planned project will occupy the section of the park on the corner of Berkley Road and Derby Street. Along with the field, there will be a press box, concession facility, four pavilions, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) restrooms, and a storm conveyance and management system. Existing street parking alongside the field will be enhanced. Ball play will begin as soon as this phase has been completed.
After this, Phase 2 will see a 51-space paved parking lot installed on the unused portion of the Park beside the field. Of these parking spots, 38 will be ADA van accessible, with plenty of space for loading and unloading. Additional features, such as an archway and brick pavers at the entrance, will be constructed to enhance the overall experience.
During Phase 3, a 7,400 square feet sensory playground will be installed with the remaining space. This will include two bocce ball courts and additional accessibility features.
